We are introducing a new set of Four Pees Café’s where color is the main theme. As usual the Café’s are meant to be introductions to certain applications or areas of knowledge, so we’re starting from scratch and building up to the current state of color management and how it works.
This first Café on color takes us back to the basics. What is color, how do we perceive it?
We’ll look at the three basic parts to viewing color: the light source, the object and the human observer. We need to understand the complexities that come with this to understand the difficulties we see in standardizing color and creating color consistency in production workflows.
